There is nothing like experiencing the arribada- where hundreds or thousands of mama sea turtles arrive on shore at Ostional beach to lay their eggs. If you're in town at the right time, you will definitely want to book our Ostional Turtle Watching Tour!

 

 The arribada happens once or twice a month, usually a few days before the new moon from August to December. Check if the arribada is happening before booking this tour as it only occurs for 3-4 days a month! Transportation and pick is up is included for this 1 hour 30 minute drive from Samara to Ostional. Upon arriving you will get to watch an informative video and hear information about the arribada from local guides. 

 

As you head to the beach, not only will you see hundred of turtles with your black lights at night fall, but you will get to watch the full process of a mama turtle laying her eggs up close and personal. There is nothing like watching her dig a nest, lay multiple eggs, bury them, and head back home to the sea. Our Ostional Turtle Watching Tour is very informative and will provide you with a unique experience that you will never forget! However, we can't control nature and there is a possibility to see less turtles than expecting!
